FAQ
Below you will find answers to the most common questions about our refurbished Vitra chairs, the refurbishment process, materials and delivery. We believe transparency is an important part of restoring iconic design furniture. If your question is not listed, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
What does refurbished mean?
Refurbished means that the chair has been carefully restored to extend its lifespan while preserving the original design. Each chair is inspected, cleaned and professionally reupholstered where needed. Aluminium components can be polished or refinished to restore their appearance, and worn parts are replaced when necessary.
Are the chairs original Vitra products?
Yes. The chairs we refurbish are original Vitra products. We restore existing chairs and bring them back to excellent condition while maintaining their authentic design and construction.
What upholstery fabrics do you use?
We use high-quality upholstery textiles suitable for intensive use. For many Vitra Aluminium Group chairs we use fabrics such as Kvadrat Steelcut Trio, which offers a texture and durability comparable to classic Hopsak upholstery.
Can the aluminium frame be restored?
Yes. Aluminium frames can be professionally polished to restore their natural shine. Alternatively, frames can be powder coated in original Vitra colours, such as Deep Black, Dark Bordeaux or Chalk.
Are refurbished chairs as durable as new ones?
Yes. Our refurbishment process focuses on restoring both the appearance and functionality of the chair. By using high-quality materials and careful craftsmanship, refurbished chairs are ready for many more years of use.
Do you ship across Europe?
Yes. We ship our refurbished chairs from the Netherlands to customers throughout Europe. Each chair is carefully packed to ensure safe transport.
